Easton Hospital Announces Second "EMS Stewards of the Community" Awards

[EASTON], PA – In celebration of National Emergency Medical Service (EMS) week, May 19-24th, Steward Health Care System will host its 2nd annual “EMS Stewards of the Community” Awards Ceremony on May 20th at The Easton Gallery at the State Theatre.

Easton Hospital, a Steward family hospital, will recognize selected Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers for going “above and beyond” in their interactions with patients at each of Steward’s community hospitals. To nominate an EMS provider in your community for an “EMS Stewards of the Community” award, visit http://info.steward.org/EMSOHPA.html. Nominations must be received by April 15th, 2019.

“The men and women of EMS display their valor and commitment to patient safety and care every day,” said Linda J. Grass, President of Easton Hospital. “This is an annual celebration to honor their brave work and an opportunity to express our gratitude for being partners to keep families and communities healthy and safe.”

“Once again, we have the opportunity to recognize the outstanding efforts of the brave men and women of EMS,” said Brenden Hayden, Vice President of EMS at Steward Health Care. “We encourage all members of the Steward family to nominate outstanding EMS providers in their community to thank them for their lifesaving work.”

The “EMS Stewards of the Community” awards show appreciation for emergency medical responders, emergency medical technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians, and paramedics who not only carry out the noble work of caring for others, but do so with a high degree of expertise, professionalism, and compassion. An internal committee of physicians and EMS directors selected recipients among current providers in communities served by Steward.
